Born on a GAA pitch
InciTent started with a single incident. Our founder, Jonah Roche, attended a rural GAA club where a young female player had a suspected spinal injury. She lay on the pitch for over an hour in heavy rain waiting for an ambulance, with no shelter from the weather and no privacy from the people around her.
That experience made the need clear to Jonah: a quick, simple way to protect an injured person's privacy and keep the weather off them until help arrives.
Experience from the scene
Jonah is also a former scenes of crime examiner. He saw how often a fibre-rich blanket was used to cover a deceased person, which risks contaminating the scene, and he's keen to move law enforcement away from that practice.
Designed to go over, not on
InciTent has no floor and a built-in roof. It goes straight over a person lying on the ground, so nobody has to move them, and nothing is laid on them. That matters for an injured player who shouldn't be moved, and for a scene that shouldn't be disturbed.
What we make
- InciTent 3-Sided Tent: an open side for pitch-side and roadside first aid.
- InciTent 4-Sided Tent: full enclosure for public places and scenes, with a zip along one long side for access.
- Club packs for clubs, schools and response units.
Who uses InciTent
Sports clubs, schools, public buildings, fire and ambulance crews, Garda and police, and event teams.
